History

1952 Establishment of Nihon-Atsudenki Co., Ltd by the founder, Kohei Sato on Aug 16th .
1955 Started Production of Elastic Amateur Cartridge. Relocated the main factory from Suginami-ku to Mitaka-shi.
1957 Completion of constant temperature and humidify chamber, and transformer substation.
1958 Started the development of auto record changer.
1961 President Kohei Sato received the Tokyo Gubernational Award for his invention.
1963 Started production of Juke-Box. Started development and production of radio-equipped portable music player.
1966 Started volume production of high- performance ceramic cartridge and dynamic cartridge, an electronic accounting machine. Participation in the Electronics Show.
1967 Entered into the field of Wireless Technologies.
1968 Started research and development of Electro Condenser Microphone
1969 President Kohei Sato received the Medal with Purple Ribbon for his invention related to Rochelle salt-piezoelectric element. The company was awarded its contribution to exports, completion of the development of Magnetic-Head.
1970 Started production of Magnetic-Head and Condenser Microphone Unit.
1978 Entered into the filed of Amateur-Wireless Business. Participation in the JAIA Fair.
1980 Kohei Sato, the founder passed away. Fuminori Sato became the new president, Nobuko Sato became chairman. Former president Kohei Sato received the Fourth Order of the Sacred Treasure for his lifetime contribution to invention.
1983 Opened the Chicago(U.S.A) office.
1984 Acquired Iwate Hokushin Co., Ltd and trade name to IWATE AZDEN Corporation. Established AZDEN CORPORATION in Chicago, U.S.A. Relocated the office to New York in October.
1989 Started volume production of audio accessories, headphones, microphones.
1993 Company name changed to AZDEN CORPORATION
1994 AZDEN received the 19th Invention Awards-Sasagawa Special Awards sponsored by Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation and Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Ltd.
1995 Participation in the NAB show in U.S.A. for the first time. Started volume production of mobile phone receiver.
1998 President Fuminori Sato received the scientific Technology Administration Award for the promotion of science and technology.
2004 Iwate Factory obtained ISO14001 certificate.
2016 Acquired AZDEN Iwate Co., Ltd.
